Celebrate Earth Day in Palm Desert
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd, 2013. Earth day was created in1970, to bring awareness and appreciation for Earth’s natural resources. Originally conceived as an environmental teach-in geared toward college students, the date was selected because of warm fair weather and there were no final exams at this time. More than 1 billion people in 192 countries celebrate Earth Day, making it one of the largest civic observances in the world.
