Great Desert Hikes
Hiking is a wonderful way to stay fit while getting some much needed fresh air. Gyms are well and good, but the desert is a place to relax, unwind, and break free from the daily grind of life. The desert area has some beautiful hikes for all fitness levels that are waiting to be taken advantage of. Winter and Fall are also the best time to take advantage of these hikes, as temperatures are more mild than in Summer.
Bump and Grind/Mike Shuler Trail- Only a short drive from The Inn, this entertaining hike is great for all levels. Take the right side of the trail for a more gentle climb, while the steeper left side will satisfy hard-core hikers. Great for kids as well.
Coachella Valley Preserve- There are 25 miles of marked hiking trails, which you can take on yourself or take a guided hike. There are also spots for a relaxing post hike picnic.
La Quinta Cove Hike- Stunning views of surrounding hills and mountains. A short, easy trail with no entrance fees. A great hike to tack on to a morning swim in our pool!
These are just a small amount of the hikes that the beautiful Palm Desert area offers. Try them out and let us know your favorite!
