Palm Desert for Kids and Families
Palm Desert’s lush desert landscape really has something for everyone- young and old alike. Palm Desert is clearly a popular destination for singles, couples, foodies, winos, music lovers, but it is also a great destination for kids and families. Whether you have children or are just young at heart, there are plenty of things to do in Palm Desert to keep everyone occupied.
What kid doesn’t like getting soaked at a waterpark? Palm Desert is home to both Knott’s Soak City and Palm Desert Aquatic Center. Kids and families alike can beat the heat and dive into numerous pools and lazy rivers. The Aquatic center boasts a children’s pool that is only a foot deep for younger kids, as well as water slides for the older (maybe for Mom and Dad too!)
After your little ones have cooled off at the water park, they’ll be sure to love the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert. Located in nearby Rancho Mirage, this museum has plenty of hands on activities to keep kid’s hands and minds busy.
Palm Desert also offers all terrain vehicle tours, an aerial tramway, and several theaters that put on children’s plays and performances.
