Spring in the Desert
One of the best things about spring is the weather. The mild evening weather is an invitation to explore local events. Of all the spring events, Memorial Day is one of the most important events to remember our history and give thanks. Spring is also that time of year to explore new restaurants and entertaining experiences. Palm Desert and the surrounding area are full of entertaining events for both individuals and families alike.
Memorial Day Flower Drop at the Palm Springs Air Museum
Memorial Day is a day to remember all who have served our country especially those who have paid the ultimate price. Emotional remembrance ceremonies will take place all over the country. One of the most beautiful and memorable happens right here at the Memorial Day flower drop at the Palm Springs Air Museum. A brief memorial service to all who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom, is highlighted by a B-25 Mitchell bomber fly-by that drops 3,000 red and white carnations on their tarmac. Family and air activities are scheduled all day long on May 27th, 2013, with a memorial program and flow drop scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
